Nobody here will choose for you
Syunik and Vayots Dzor is ten nights in southern Armenia, monasteries built on gorge edges and a cable car long enough to be its own event. The Kyrgyz trip is eleven nights on high summer grass. Felt tents, and horses used as transport rather than sport. It exists only from late June to early September. Dana to Petra is nine nights walking a line down a rift escarpment that ends at a carved city. The Sine Saloum delta is nine nights among mangrove channels and shell islands, with a bird count large enough that people keep lists. All four are $2,875 per person, two sharing. We do not hold an internal ranking of these four and will not name one for you. If you want the office to help, tell us how many hours a day you are willing to walk or ride, and which months you can leave. That usually settles it without anyone giving an opinion.
Getting around is most of what you are reserving
On this rung the means of travel is not incidental. In Kyrgyzstan you ride or walk up to the pastures, because no road goes there, and you sleep in felt tents put up by the family that owns the herd. In Jordan you walk a route with a support vehicle meeting you, carrying a day pack and nothing else. In Senegal you move through the delta on the water, because the channels are the roads. In Armenia you drive, and then you climb steps cut into rock. None of that is optional extra activity. It is how each trip works, so ask about daily distances before you reserve. One practical note on money. The Armenian operator asks the full amount at the time of reservation, the Kyrgyz operator fifty percent, the Jordanian twenty five, the Senegalese ten. Each collects directly. This office takes nothing from travelers and stores no card details.
Left out at $2,875
Flights sit outside the figure, as on every rung. So do meals not listed on the trip page, entry permits not named there, tips and personal spending. Single occupancy is quoted separately by the operating company and costs more. What $2,875 does not reach is high mountain travel with acclimatization built into it. None of these four asks you to spend days adjusting to altitude before the trip proper starts, and none of them is a primate forest. The next rung is $3,420. It holds the Simien highlands in Ethiopia, the Annapurna foothills, Taroko with the Taiwanese east coast, and Chiloe in southern Chile. That is simply what is listed at the next figure. We are not moving you toward it, and we will not tell you that one figure reaches more than another. Four trips answer to $2,875, and the office will hold whichever one you name.
